A stethoscope with a red heartLinda was feeling a little “off” while on vacation in Reno, so she visited the ER at Sierra Medical Center. Tests showed she had a heart condition, so she was admitted and had a heart catheterization the next day.

Patient J-me LaQuet and husbandJ-me started experiencing stomach pain, so she visited the ER at Spanish Springs for help. Bloodwork indicated her appendix was the probable culprit and that she would need to have it removed. She was transferred to Northern Nevada Medical Center where she underwent successful surgery.

Louis BentonLouis had pain in his chest that wasn’t going away. He went to ER at McCarran NW where he was diagnosed with acute chest pain and acute coronary syndrome. He was transferred to Sierra Medical Center where Interventional Cardiologist Devang Desai, MD, FACC, FSCAI, placed a stent in his heart.

Patient Virginia YagerhoferVirginia has lived with a heart murmur for quite some time. She was referred to Dr. Devang Desai at Sierra Medical Center for a TAVR procedure. Dr. Desai assessed Virginia’s condition and confirmed that she was a candidate for the procedure. She became only the tenth person to receive this procedure at Sierra Medical Center.

Jennifer

Patient JenniferJennifer was having breathing issues, and blood tests showed that she needed an emergency CT scan because of elevated numbers. She went to the ER at Spanish Springs for a CT scan and the team found a large blood clot in her leg. She was then transported to Sierra Medical Center for emergency surgery.
