Hospital patients, families, guests and staff have benefited tremendously from the commitment of men and women who have been part of a dedicated volunteer team. When you volunteer, you join a group who is an integral part of our hospital family. When you become a hospital volunteer, we can match your skills, interests, experience and availability with our open volunteer positions.

Qualifications for Volunteering
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and have an interest in helping others.
- Be able to conduct yourself with dignity, courtesy and with consideration of others.
- Endeavor to make your work professional in quality.
- Hold as absolutely confidential, all information that may be obtained directly or indirectly concerning patients, doctors or personnel.
- Must be dependable and honor your commitment.
- Be able to perform assigned tasks.

Requirements for Volunteering
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Attend a ½ day volunteer orientation session.
- Schedule an interview with Angie Rodriguez. Call 775-355-6567 for more information.
- Undergo a criminal background check.
- Complete required lab work, including a urine test for drug screening, a blood draw to check your resistance level for childhood diseases and a QuantiFERON blood test for tuberculosis.
- Must understand that the services provided to the hospital are donated without contemplation of compensation or future employment, and given for humanitarian, religious or charitable reasons.
