Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) provides high-pressure oxygen in a pressurized cylinder, called a hyperbaric chamber. Breathing 100 percent pure oxygen increases the amount of oxygen in the blood to many times its normal level. Blood vessels deliver this “super” oxygenated blood to tissues throughout the body. This helps in promoting wound healing, fights off infection, decreases swelling, and aids in the growth of new blood vessels. These benefits cannot be achieved by breathing oxygen in a regular room.
Our team of multidisciplinary doctors and nurses is led by Todd Inman, MD. Dr. Inman is the Medical Director of the Wound Care Center. He is board certified in family medicine and wound care. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno.
